Raul "Roy" Zamarippa
Roy was born in San Angelo, Texas, to Rafael and Jessie Zamarippa. He is remembered for a life marked by service, skill, and deep devotion to his family. He attended Lake View High School before proudly serving in the United States Army as a telegrapher.
Following his military service, Roy began a long and accomplished career in aviation as a tool engineer, starting in San Antonio, Texas. His professional journey included work with Gates Learjet, McDonnell Douglas Aviation, and Boeing, where his expertise and dedication were widely respected.
Roy was the proud father of three children: Monique Boecking, Roy Zamarippa Jr., and Robert Zamarippa. He was also a beloved grandfather to Isabella and Ezra Boecking. He is preceded in death by his siblings Ralph Zamarippa Jr, Rosalie Zamarippa, Rachel Elkins, and Rudy Zamarippa. He is survived by his siblings, Ronnie Zamarippa, Raymond Zamarippa, and his sister, Rita Tambunga, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will continue to cherish his memory.
Roy’s legacy lives on through his family, his service to his country, and the many lives he touched throughout his career.
