Tanina "Tina" Marie Calabrese, Age: 76

Tanina Marie Calabrese passed peacefully in her assisted living home Prestonwood Court in Plano, Texas on October 31, 2025.

Tanina who was affectionally known as Tina was born in 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio.

She was predeceased in death by parents Joseph and Tanina (Tanny) Calabrese. She is survived by her son Joseph Carino and his wife Shelby of Anna, Texas. She was blessed with two grandchildren, Dakota Carino of Castle Pines, Colorado and Justice Carino of McKinney, Texas.

Tina is survived by 4 sisters and 2 brothers: Francine Biddle of Orlando, Florida; Joetta Guta of Plano, Texas; Maria Zickuhr and her husband Norman of Baltimore Maryland; Geraldine Moran and her husband Michael of Hendersonville, North Carolina; Dr. Joeseph Calabrese and his wife Beverly of Shaker Heights, Ohio and Martin Calabrese of Canton, Michigan. She also leaves behind 16 nieces and nephews.

Tina graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in Detroit, Michigan. She started her career working as an RN in ICU. She enjoyed educating new mothers, teaching Lamaze to support natural deliveries and taught the value of breast-feeding education through the LaLechce Foundation and counseling. She worked for Olsten Nursing placement for almost 20 years. Tina later earned her Masters in Business at the University of Dallas in the late 80s. With an Entrepreneurial spirit she launched her own jewelry and women’s accessory line under the label “Tones of Fashion”. Not long after that launch her jewelry caught the attention of a Miss America contestant and was worn by several contestants in their competition. Tina then became a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep and worked her way into Pharmaceutical Clinical Research as a Monitor.

After almost 30 years in the Pharmaceutical industry, she launched her own Holistic Nutrition Practice “Nutrition by Tina” and later completed a Doctor of Naturopathy in 2021. She helped so many patients get to the root issue of their illness and heal the root causes all the way to the very end. Her patients loved her for her thoroughness, kindness, patience and compassion all the while keeping a great sense of humor. That was evidenced by her enormous circle of friends. She will be missed tremendously.

*No services will be held, a Celebration of Life was attended before her passing*
