Carl David Gentile lost his lifelong battle with cancer October 10, 2026 in Dallas.

He was born February 2, 1958, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to Calogero "Carlo" and Gloria (Ferrazzoli) Gentile. He was a 1976 graduate of Valley High School in New Kensington, Pennsylvania and a 1980 graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He enjoyed his role in Information Technology, and claimed, "I have never worked a day in my life." Carl loved life and had a sharp sense of humor that he often used to hide his big heart. He was a great cook, storyteller and friend to many.

Carl is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 30+ years, Gina (Lund) Gentile, who spent countless hours in Dallas hospitals and at home in support of his health journey. He is also survived by his brother, John Charles Gentile from Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania and his dog and constant companion, Jack Lambert (and the other dog, MaddDogg). Carl was preceded in death by both of his parents.
