Christopher Dee McCallister, Age:72

Christopher Dee McCallister January 11th, 1954 – October 8th, 2026

Chris McCallister, age 72, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 8th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Some people have a way of making life feel a little brighter just by being themselves. Christopher “Chris” Dee McCallister was one of those people. With an upbeat outlook, a great sense of humor, and a heart that always made room for the people he loved, Chris had a gift for finding the good in life and sharing it with everyone around him.

Born on January 11th, 1954, Chris lived life with a spirit that was unmistakably his own. He believed in working hard, enjoying the ride, spending time on the lake or near any water, and remembering that most things in life were not worth worrying about. He could find humor in almost any situation and had a way of reminding others that tomorrow was another day and there was still plenty to smile about. His presence brought a special kind of energy to a room.

Chris leaves behind far more than memories. He leaves a way of looking at life: choose joy when you can, laugh often, stand by your people, and never underestimate the difference a positive attitude can make. Even in the difficult days ahead, his family and friends can carry that spirit with them, finding comfort in the countless moments of happiness he brought into their lives.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Tempie Juliano; his daughter, Kellie Parker (Britany); his stepdaughters, Amy Harris (Jeff) and Christian Gautney (Jackie); his grandchildren, Cooper, Cannon, and Capri Matijasevic; Megan, Hannah, Aubrey, Abigail, and Noah Harris; Hayley Thomas (Codi); and Lacey and Patrick Vassallo.

He is also survived by his beloved great-grandchildren, Serenity Thomas, Zayne Hinton, and Emmett and Koa McCurrey.

Chris is further survived by his sister, Rosie Walters (Johnny), and his six brothers, Ross McCallister (Patty), Mike McCallister (Sandy), Patrick McCallister (Tammy), Danny McCallister (Joanne), Frank McCallister (Jill), and Tim McCallister (Maria).

He will be deeply missed by his RV Station family in Colbert, Oklahoma, where he proudly worked for more than 10 years. He will also be lovingly remembered by extended family and the many friends whose lives were made richer simply by knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy and Ross McCallister, and his son, Christopher McCallister.

Though saying goodbye to Chris is heartbreaking, his family will honor him by carrying forward the things he gave so freely: laughter, encouragement, perspective, and the reminder to find something good in every day. His time here was a gift, and the love he shared will continue to shine through the generations that follow him.
