Richard Eugene Ronek, 70 years old, passed away on August 26, 2026, in McKinney, Texas. He was born on June 16, 1956, to Nellie Oleta Steward and Robert Joseph Ronek.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.   Richard never met just a friend; he considered everyone family!  

Richard married the love of his life Lou Ann on May 31st, 1975.  He considered himself the luckiest and most blessed man around to call Lou Ann his wife. They have spent the last 51 years enjoying kids, grandkids and great-grandchildren.   One of his favorite things to do with Lou Ann was to load up in big red and go pick up the grands and take them for a ride around the neighborhood and down to ride around the lake.  He loved attending sporting events and cheering on the grand kids from the stands, while always sitting next to Lou Ann holding hands.  He was so proud of each and everyone of them and he would tell you that seeing all of them smile and laugh would make each day so worth it!   

Richard is survived by his wife Lou Ann, by daughter Natasha Cairns and her husband Josh, by daughter Amy White and husband Jason, and their son Bryce Ronek and wife Amy.   Survived by grandchildren including Kristen Sowards her husband Cody, Chandler White his wife Bri, Caleb White, Katlyn Carnes, Alexa White, Kylie Helton, Jordan Cairns, Kyndel Helton, and Juliet Cairns.   Survived by great-grandchildren including Everly White, Levi Sowards, Jason White, Berkleigh Sowards, and Kodi Jane Sowards. Survived by his sister Winelle Stratton and many family and friends.
