Ronald Bagley was born on October 22, 1957 in Chicago IL. He was the eldest of three children of the late Roland J. and Betty S. Bagley. Ronald's wife Tammi also preceded him in death.
Ronnie, as he was affectionately known by his family and close friends, expressed a strong interest in athletics at an early age. Ronnie was adept in several sports including little league baseball, swimming and later, his true love for tennis. Ronnie became known in the neighborhood as a standout in these sports.
Ronnie was educated in the Catholic and Chicago Public School Systems. He attended Mendel and Harlan High School where he graduated from in 1975.
Ronnie had developed a desire to dress well. Upon graduating High School, Ronnie had a brief career at a popular clothing store known as Beautiful Things where all the latest fashions of the era could be found. Ronnie also loved music, so he kept an impressive collection Of R&B albums of the 7ffs, and a state-of-the-art sound System to play his beloved music on.
In 1979, Ronnie enlisted in the army, where he earned the rank ofSargent as a Military Police Officer. In 1990, Ronnie was deployed to Saudi Arabia for The Gulf War; Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Ronnie earned several medals and accolades for various duties and accomplishments for his exceptional service during his military career. Throughout his vocation with the Army, Ronnie was able to travel the
world and learn about different cultures and customs that he would share with family and friends.
Ronnie loved to cook and socialize, and was an ardent dog lover. He owned three Boxers in his lifetime, Roxie, Robie and Champ, which atl held a special place forever in his heart. Ronnie was also politically Savvy by staying current on what was happening in the nation and was always ready for any discussion on that topic.
Ronnie was proficient in all aspects that surrounded his life. He loved life and lived it to the fullest!
Ronnie was a deliberate man and was always "Squared Away" in all that he did.
Ronnie passed away on June 21, 2026. He is lovingly remembered and survived by his son, Shon (Andrea), daughter Shannon, four grandchildren, Aaliyah, Bryce, Paysleigh and Graycen. A devoted brother, Van and sister Shellie (Carlton), two nephews, Salem and Shane, dear cousins Kay and Carolyn, as well as other cherished relatives and many well appreciated friends.
