STEPHEN "STEVE" SANDERSON, was born in Monroe, Louisiana, to Malcolm Sanderson and Geraldine "Gerry" Frost Sanderson, on March 5, 1960, and fell asleep in death in Dallas, Texas, on July 28, 2026, after a hard fought battle with cancer. 

He was preceded in death by his dear mother, Gerry, and his stepbrother Ron Polk. 

Steve is survived by his Dad and his loving stepmother, Dorothy; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Juawanna and Jerry Burson, and Lori and Nick Andregg; his nephew and niece, whom he absolutely adored, Blane Andregg (Kaitlin) and Taylor Tucker (Brandon); also his great-nephew, Taydon Tucker,  and great-nieces, Everly Tucker, Claire, Olivia, and Charli Andregg, all of whom he spoiled to no end; his stepsisters, Rayma, Vickie, Lana Kaye, and their families; his best friends, Larry Allen and Gary Sparks; along with many other friends; all very special to him. 

Steve was raised in Louisiana and Colorado where he enjoyed hiking, tubing, skiing, and just watching the snow fall. But he considered himself a "city boy" and loved living in the Dallas Metroplex till the end of his days. 

Yet more than all else, he loved his God, Jehovah. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on March 4, 1974, just one day before his 14th birthday, and remained loyal and faithful till the end. He shared Bible truths with extended family, friends, and anyone else who would listen. Steve said he didn't fear death because he wholeheartedly believed in Jehovah's promises. So now he "sleeps" until the promised resurrection into that earthly paradise he so looked forward to. 

Steve was uniquely one of a kind, and never met a stranger. He loved visiting with and caring for the elderly and they loved him. He will be missed by so many, especially his dad and sisters, who look forward to the time when Jehovah will call his name and they will be reunited. (Job 14:14,15)
