Barbara Ann Driscoll Schovanec, age 73, of Sherman, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026.

She was born on October 24, 1952, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Robert and Wilma Driscoll. Barbara was a dedicated and diligent worker, spending several years making meaningful contributions during her career at Texas Instruments and MEMC.

Above all, Barbara will be remembered for her immense kindness and hardworking nature. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was deeply passionate about spending time with and supporting her two grandchildren, who meant the world to her.

She is survived by her loving children, Lisa DeFury and her husband Dusty of Melissa, Texas, and Joe Schovanec of Sherman, Texas. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Coy DeFury and Cam DeFury of Melissa, Texas.

In honoring Barbara’s explicit wishes, no formal public funeral services will be held. The immediate family will gather privately at a later date to hold a celebration of her life and legacy.
