Bonnie Ruth Hennig, 79, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, surrounded by her children, her pastor, and the comforting presence of God's Word after a courageous battle with cancer.

Bonnie was born on January 27, 1947, in Waco, Texas, to Isidor and Ruby Kutscherousky. She was the youngest of six children and was raised in the Pleasant Grove area. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Patsy and Margaret; and her brothers, Bill Kutscherousky, Kenneth Wayne Kutscherousky, and Johnny Lance.

In 1966, Bonnie married the love of her life, Richard Hennig, and together they made their home in Rowlett, Texas, where they raised their family and built a lifetime of memories.

Bonnie is lovingly remembered by her three children: Shelly Hennig-Hoffman and her husband, Randy Hoffman; Richard Hennig and his wife, Kristy Hennig; and Vickie Hennig. She also considered Tommy Vaselo and his wife, Robbie to be part of her family, loving Tommy as a son.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Elizabeth Hennig, Victoria Hennig, Mary Hennig, Zachary Sepik, Petra Fernandes, Gage Vaselo, Ruzel Roble, and Rica Mae Roble. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her nephew, Darrell Kutscherousky.

Bonnie's greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart, and there was nothing that brought her more happiness than spending time with them. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her beloved dogs, who were constant companions throughout her life.

When she wasn't enjoying time with family, Bonnie loved visiting the casino, playing games, sewing beautiful Barbie dresses, crafting, laughing, and making memories with those she loved. Her warm spirit, sense of humor, and love for togetherness made every gathering special.

Bonnie faced the last year of her life with remarkable strength and determination as she battled cancer. Through it all, her Christian faith remained steadfast. She loved Jesus deeply, and her family finds comfort in knowing that she entered into His presence peacefully, surrounded by love, prayer, and the promises of Scripture.

Bonnie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her kindness, unwavering love for her family, and enduring faith leave a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A memorial service celebrating Bonnie's life will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 615 Parker Road, Wylie, Texas 75098.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to your favorite animal rescue organization in Bonnie's memory.
