Gary Lynn Reece, 74, of Prosper, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2026, after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 12th, 1952.
Gary dedicated much of his life to the auto industry alongside his family. He had a special knack for getting the best deals on vehicles, keeping the family auto dealership well stocked. In his free time he loved lake life and looked forward to the weekly family get-togethers at his dad’s house with all the extended family. Later in life, his greatest joy was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred T. Reece Jr. and Elma J. Fox; his stepfather, Leland Fox; his brother, Michael Dean Reece; his son, Benjamin “Benji” Reece; and his step-brother, Mickey Hill.
Gary is survived by his brother Steve Reece, his nieces and nephews, many close friends, and most of all by his loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will miss him dearly.
Per his wishes, no funeral service will be held.
