Preston Clark
September 15, 1988 – May 13, 2026
Forever in Our Hearts
Preston Clark was born on September 15, 1988, to Michelle and Ellis Clark. From the
very start, he had music in his soul. As a little boy, he could be found outside making up
songs with pure, uninhibited joy, or singing away while being pushed on the swing by
his beloved grandfather, affectionately known as Ga. That spark never left him. It grew
into a genuine passion for songwriting, a craft he turned to as a way of giving voice to
the thoughts and emotions that lived within him.
Preston graduated from Flower Mound High School with the Class of 2007, where his
portrayal of Charlie Brown left an impression the theater department never forgot. The
best they had ever seen, by all accounts.
Those who knew Preston knew he was something rare. He had a magnetic personality, a
wicked sense of humor, and a smile that could light up every room he walked into. If
there was a line that shouldn’t be crossed, Preston was often pole vaulting over it. He
was many things to many people. Son, Brother, Best Friend, Partner and he gave
generously of himself in every one of those roles. He meant more than words can hold.
He passed peacefully in his home on May 13, 2026 wearing his favorite Britney Spears
tshirt, surrounded by the stuffed animals he took comfort in, and in the arms of Nathan.
The world has lost a star.
Preston is survived by his partner, Nathan Cain; his mother, Michelle Clark; his father,
Ellis Clark; his brothers, Tucker and Trevor Clark; his sister, Sarah Klepper; his uncle,
Rob Clark; and his grandmother, Lindy Ruff.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, William “Bill” Ruff (his beloved Ga); his
grandfather, Ellis Clark; his grandmother, Barbara Clark; and his aunt, Terri Urban.
Words cannot express how deeply he will be missed
