Brian DeWayne Salm, age 47, was born on November 13, 1978 and passed away on February 27, 2026.
Brian will be remembered as a loving husband, father, stepfather, son, brother, friend, and colleague. He had a large sense of humor and was known for his wit, fun loving personality, and generous spirit.
Brian lived life to the fullest, always doing things his way. He cherished his family and his home and proudly took on the role of protector for the people he loved most. Brian believed in working hard, playing hard, and loving hard, and he lived those values every day.
Some of Brian’s happiest moments were spent at home working on projects, cooking, grilling, watching sports, and taking care of his household. More than anything, he loved spending time with family and close friends, creating memories that will live on in their hearts.
Brian was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Private Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends in the coming weeks.

When I heard this I couldn’t believe it. We hadn’t talked since I left North Garland, but Brian was one of the first guys I met my freshman year in high school. We had a great summer and it was a memorable one. My thoughts are with his family. Rest Easy.
