Edgar Dwaine Lunday, age 95, passed away on January 12, 2026. A life-long Texas resident, Edgar was born March 8, 1930 in Lubbock, Texas. However soon after, once the depression started, his family moved to Hubbard, Texas and helped on his grandfather’s 600-acre farm. Edgar grew up and lived in Hubbard and then the Waco area, graduating from La Vega High School in 1947 and from Baylor University in 1957. He met and married Jettie Mae Rowe in Dallas in 1963 while working for Fannie Mae after moving to Dallas. He worked as an accountant at Fannie Mae for his entire 30+ year career.

Edgar is preceded in death by his parents, Archie Isaac Lunday and Thelma Frances Vosburg, his wife Jettie, brother Archie Lunday, and sisters Dorothy Osborne and Betty Taylor. He is survived by his brother Tom Lunday of Fort Worth, Tx, his sister Bonnie McCollough of Las Vegas, NV, two sons David Lunday and Michael Lunday, David’s wife Tammy, and their two children, Ethan Lunday and Makayla (Lunday) Lannom.

Edgar will be interred, alongside his wife Jettie, at DFW National Cemetery.
