Paul Richard Hackler, Age:61

Paul Richard Hackler, 61, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 13, 2026.

Paul was born on December 15, 1964, in Fort Worth, TX, to Billy Charles and Tommie Ann Hackler. He graduated from Lancaster High School in 1983. He was a devoted son, father, Papi, and follower of Christ. He lived a full life as an upholsterer, independent contractor, retailer, and caretaker for his parents.

His hobbies included attending sports or school events for grandchildren, watching old westerns, and listening to the Duck Dynasty podcast. He enjoyed barbecuing, cooking, and eating Bluebell Ice Cream. For most of his life, he despised cats until he rescued two of them, Buddy and Lil Bit, and they became close companions over the last few years.

He is survived by his children, Christin (Josh) Barber from Waxahachie, TX, and Tara (Turner) Harper from Mildred, TX; his parents, Billy Charles and Tommie Ann Hackler from Red Oak, TX; his brothers, Buster Hackler, Larry Hackler, and Cliff Hackler. He has seven grandchildren whom he loved and adored: Kaleb Barber (14), Dalton Barber (10), Easton Harper (9), Addalyn Harper (7), Cadence Harper (5), Brooks Harper (2), and Autumn Barber (2).

He is preceded in death by his sister Connie Byrd, whom he adored and missed dearly.

A celebration of life for Paul will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Eastridge Baptist Church, located at 732 E. Ovilla Rd, Red Oak, TX 75154. The family invites all who knew Paul to attend and wear red, as that was his favorite color.
