Janet Mary Sue Young, Age:64

Janet Mary Sue Young, 64 of Seagoville, TX passed away on February 4, 2026 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She passed at The Manor at Seagoville Nursing Home that she called home for over eight years.

Janet was born March 11, 1961, in Walnut Ridge, AR to James (Jim) and Jean (Schafer) Young. She attended Walnut Ridge Schools. In 1976 Janet and her family moved to Conway, AR and she completed her education in Conway. After Janet completed her education, she started attending the Conway Work Force program where she had many friends and was loved by the staff. Over the years Janet competed in Special Olympics and won many ribbons in various competitions. Janet lived with her parents until she was about 40 years old when she moved into a group home in Morrilton, AR and THRIVED with her many friends and beloved staff members who were like family. Janet loved to read to some of the other residents and help with grocery shopping. Janet greatly enjoyed visits with her parents on the weekend and holidays. She loved playing basketball, going to eat pizza with family, watching TV with Ms. Priss and riding her four-wheeler when at home.

In 2014 Janet and her mom moved to Texas to be closer to her sister. Soon after Janet moved into a group home in Greenville, TX and attended a new Day Hab. After a fall and surgery Janet went to The Manor at Seagoville for rehab and decided to make The Manor her new home. Once again, Janet met lots of people who quickly became wonderful friends.

In 2024 Janet was diagnosed with breast cancer and had surgery in February, 2025. Janet handled the surgery like a true warrior, but the cancer returned in August, 2025. Janet was tough but not as tough as cancer.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Jean Young.

Janet will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Deby Langeloh, brother-in-love, Greg Langeloh and nephew Brad Langeloh (her pride) and his wife Meagan. Janet also left behind many family members and friends.

There will be no service, Janet is being cremated and will eventually be buried in Carlise, AR by her parents and many family members.
