Linda Ferguson Baity, Age:88

Linda Ferguson Baity passed away peacefully at her home on December 31, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 88. Born on December 3, 1937, in Louisville, Mississippi, Linda’s life was devoted to education, service, faith, family, and friends.

A graduate of Waco High School in 1955, Linda began her collegiate journey at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, before transferring to Baylor University. There, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education.

After years spent shaping young minds in the classroom, she retired from teaching in 2003. Yet her talents reached far beyond education. She served as an assistant to a gifted metalwork artist, was a certified legal assistant, and managed a talent/modeling agency, with each role a testament to her varied interests and adaptability.

Linda's heart for service shone brightly throughout her life. She volunteered to teach English as a Second Language to children and adults alike and mentored numerous children through Kids Hope USA. Always actively involved in her community, she served on multiple boards of directors for organizations including the Gatesville Chamber of Commerce, Gatesville School Board, and her Homeowners Association in Dallas.

Guided by unwavering faith, Linda found joy and purpose within her church community. Through ministry and fellowship, she offered kindness freely—her spirit anchored by belief and love for others.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Charlie” Baity; her brother, Lawrence “Larry” Lott; and her parents, Camille Rogers Lott and Elliott Foster Ferguson.

She is remembered with love by her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Debra Baity; her daughter, Robin Baity; and her grandchildren, Jerad Heintschel, Austin Baity, and Maxwell Beall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Network of Christian Ministries in Richardson, Texas, The International Essential Tremor Foundation, or the charity of your choice. A Celebration of Life is in preparation and will be announced at a later date.
