Joseph Paul Longazelle

February 25, 1961 – January 5, 2026

Joseph Paul Longazelle, age 64, passed away on January 5, 2026. A beloved father, brother, and friend, Joe’s presence was as large as his heart, and he leaves behind a legacy of strength and devotion.

Early Life and Education

Born in Euclid, Ohio, to the late Frank and Dorothy Long, Joe grew up with a passion for teamwork and competition. He was a proud graduate of Mayfield Heights High School and went on to further his education at the University of Edinboro in Pennsylvania.

A Lifelong Love of the Game

Football was a defining thread throughout Joe’s life. He spent his youth on the field, playing through both high school and college, forging lifelong bonds with his teammates. That passion never faded; he remained a dedicated Cleveland Browns fan, always ready to cheer them on through every season.

Family and Legacy

Joe’s greatest pride was his daughter, Natalie Marie. He is also survived by his four brothers: John (Lee) Long, Mike (Andrea) Long, Peter Long, and Paul (Beth) Long. He was a proud uncle to his nieces and nephew: Kayleigh, Kacey, Jacob, Jordan, Lilian, Emma, and Chloe.

Joe shared the later chapters of his life with his girlfriend, Liz Wellborn, and her children, Lauren and Cole, all of whom he deeply cared for.

Joe was a man who valued loyalty, family, and the simple joy of a good game. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Natalie, please know that your dad was one of the most honest and sincere men that I have ever met. I am going miss his laughter, and kindness of a smile.
