Paul James Armstrong, age 67, of McKinney, Texas passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, December 5, 2025, at McKinney Medical City.    He was born in San Antonio but grew up in primarily in Broken Bow OK.   Following some time at college, he moved to Victoria TX where his mother & father, Troy and Maria Edwards, relocated.

Paul was a graduate of Broken Bow High School in 1977.   His closest high school friends have remained throughout this life.  He was a proud Broken Bow Savage football player - number 70.  After spending a short time in college, he worked in the oil fields in South Texas prior to changing careers and moving to Plano TX.   There, he was employed by EDS where he met many friends who remained a valued presence in his life.  Paul went on to retire from AT&T.

Paul was a lover of anything outdoors but was committed to fishing - primarily bass fishing.  He could often be found on the water in boat regardless of weather.  Typically, his favorite 4-legged fishing partner was right by his side - Taz.   His favorite lakes were Lake Fork, Lake Ray Roberts, and Broken Bow Lake.  Paul enjoyed nothing more than a roaring campfire at the end of a great day.   His campfires were not complete without all of the amenities - music of all kinds, good drinks, and family & friends.   You never left one of Paul's campfires without enjoying his unique mix of quick wit and humor mixed with a little sarcasm.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Maria Edwards, and his in-laws, Jack and Bettie Arnold.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Teresa.  He is also survived by: Daughter- Amy Roesler and husband James.  Grandchildren - Avery Roesler, JP Roesler, and Teddie Roesler.  In-laws:  Troy and Diana Arnold & Fritz and Tracie Stewart.  Niece & Nephews:  Meridian "Ridi" Stewart, Brazos Stewart, and Kyle "Tugz" Arnold.

Paul will be missed and leaves a significant hole in the hearts of the many who knew and loved him.  As some of his friends have said in their farewells -- tight lines and calm waters brother.

"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

Paul wanted his ashes scattered instead of any sort of funeral service.  Should you want to send a remembrance, in lieu of flowers, please consider supporting one of the causes Paul supported -
* As he was adopted - he was fond of the DaveThomasFoundation.org
* As an animal lover - he supported OperationKindness.org
* As an outdoors lover - he liked Shop.Alivingtribute.org
