Charles Randall McGuire

Charles McGuire passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, September 24, 2025. He was born on October 14, 1942, in Snyder, Texas, to Marcus and Lucille McGuire.

The family later moved to Lubbock, Texas, where Charles graduated from Lubbock High School. Shortly after, he entered the military and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1964 to 1967. Following his honorable service, Charles returned to Lubbock, where he met and married the love of his life, Judy Compton, in September 1967. Together, they relocated to the Dallas–Fort Worth area and made their home in Garland, Texas, where they raised their two children.

Charles built a successful career in sales, working across several industries for more than 40 years. Beyond his career, he was a lifelong sports fan, especially devoted to Texas Tech football and the Dallas Cowboys. Saturdays and Sundays were some of his favorite times, spent cheering on his teams. During the 1980s, he was active in the Garland Soccer Association, where he shared his love of the game by coaching the Rowdies 78 team for several years.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Judy McGuire; his son, Marc McGuire, and wife Kimberly McGuire; his daughter, Rachelle Land, and husband Robert Land of Punta Gorda, Florida; and his two cherished grandchildren, Hayden Land of Dallas, Texas, and Madison Land of Orlando, Florida. He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth McGuire, and wife Sallie McGuire of Paris, Texas, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Lucille McGuire, and his sister, Myrl Russell. Services to be determined at a later date.
