Perticha Ann Mashburn, Age:85

Our devoted mother and Mimi, Perticha Ann Mashburn, passed from this earthly life into eternity on September 18, 2025. She was born February 4,1940 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Henry and Lulu Jones, the baby of their 10 children. She graduated from Atoka High School and attended college at Southeast Oklahoma State. In 1964, she married her beloved husband Jim and they shared 56 years together before his passing in 2021. In 1969 she became a mother and spent the rest of her life devoted to her two daughters and her eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was a gifted seamstress who sewed for her children and even their friends and we kept her busy through the years bringing our projects to life.

Our mom became a Christian at an early age and remained faithful to the end. She never missed an opportunity to share her faith with others.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Hoskins, her parents, all her brothers and sisters, and her beloved husband of 56 years, Jim.

She leaves to mourn her passing, daughters Kala and Kyndal and her sons-in-law whom she loved dearly, Scott and Shawn, her adored grandchildren, Brook (Carah), Jordan (Calista), Olivia (Micheal), Trinity, Chloe, Landon, Sam, and Nolan Frazier and great grandchildren Sadie, Sutton and Scout Frazier, Luke Frazier, and Margot and Blair Barrett, her niece and dear friend, Mary Norton, and a beloved brother-in-she has adored since age 15, Hershel Varden, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Our mother was a long time resident of Springfield, Missouri but she spent her final 4 years in her beloved “tiny house” in Melissa, Texas where she was able to be surrounded daily by her grandsons who were such a source of pride and joy for her. They spent countless hours entertaining her, running errands and completing all her little to- do lists with love and patience, at all hours of the day and night. She was endlessly grateful for them.

She never forgot a birthday and we will all dearly miss getting her birthday phone call. We will also miss the way her eyes lit up when any of us entered a room. We all know “that mom” who thinks her kid can do no wrong. Well she was “that mom” and we were all the lights of her life. We will miss her every single day until we see her again.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

Our mother will be laid to rest with our dad in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
