December 09, 1949 -- April 24, 2025

Constance Ellen (Connie) Gardner, Age:75

Constance Ellen Gardner entered into eternal life on April 24th, 2025. Connie was born to Jack and Wanda Davis in Pryor, Oklahoma, on December 9, 1949. Connie shared a beautiful childhood along with her siblings, Sharon Bradley, Debra Davis, and Wayne Davis. The family resided in Pryor, Oklahoma, and later relocated to Tulsa, where the family laid roots for future generations.

Connie met David Walters while in high school.  They married and lovingly welcomed two children: David Scott and Michele. The couple divorced, and later in life, Connie met her dear husband, Larry Gardner, who passed away in 2019. While still mourning her husband, she began her battle with lung and pancreatic cancer. She received treatment in Plano, Texas, where she heroically fought for nearly 5 years. She never complained about her battle with cancer and was grateful for every day.  She touched many lives with her witness as a believer in God the Father, her Savior Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Connie’s greatest loves in life were her grandchildren, children, husband, parents, siblings, nieces, and nephew. She cherished her family deeply and loved reading, music, crocheting, art, her sweet dogs Joy, and then Molly. She loved jamming to her R&B music, making cookies for grandkids, and sitting by the lake with her son. Connie always admired nature and the beauty of God’s gifts.

With a servant’s heart, she built a career in management and was very devoted as a director of senior living properties, caring for the elderly, and was loved by all who met her. When she felt called to share, she professed her faith in Jesus and was grateful to be a witness of His wondrous ways shown in her life. Our God is an awesome God.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Davis; her mother, Wanda Davis; her sister, Deabe Davis; her brother, Wayne Davis; and her husband, Larry Gardner. She is survived by her sister, Shari Bradley; her son, David Scott Walters; her daughter, Michele Holley (Matthew); her stepson, Larry Gardner Jr.; her grandchildren, Joseph Holley (Angelina), Sarah, John Ambrose, Marygrace, Elijah; her nieces and one nephew.

Her loved ones will miss Nonnie (her name given by grandchildren) dearly as we bear an ache and emptiness without her each day here on earth that will only be full again one day as we trust and hope in an eternal life for God’s glory as members of His perfect family restored in heaven.

Texas family will hold vigil prayers on Thursday, May 15th at 5:00 pm at Saint Anthony Catholic Church, Wylie, Texas, in the white chapel. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 16th, at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony in the main church.

Oklahoma family will hold a memorial service graveside under the gazebo at Graham Cemetery in Pryor, Oklahoma, at 11 AM, Saturday, May 17th.

Too the most loving and kind person I've ever known. She taught me so much about love and life. Her spirit lives on in me and all of whom had the honor of being loved by her.
