July 04, 1960 -- March 04, 2025

Jill Eileen Thompson-Hamid, Age:64

Jill Eileen Thompson-Hamid, 64, departed this world on March 4, 2025. Born on July 4, 1960, in Rockford, Illinois, Jill enriched the lives of those who knew her with her warmth, humor, and her uniqueness.

Jill was the beloved daughter of George Jae Thompson and Clara May Posa, who she always looked up to in remembrance. Raised in a loving family, she shared an unbreakable bond with her siblings, Alan Thompson, Carol Thompson, and Gail Brunell, along with their own families. Their sibling bonds will continue to be strong and unshakeable.

Jill joined her life with that of Abdul Karim Hamid, her devoted spouse of 38 years. Their marriage was a beautiful partnership filled with love and laughter. Together, they raised a beautiful family. She is survived by her cherished son, Alan George Hamid and his wife Portia, and her beloved daughter, Jasmine Carolann Zawadski and her husband Alexander. She will join her second son, Aaron Rashid Hamid, in eternal peace.

Jill dedicated a significant portion of her professional life to the Richardson Independent School District (RISD), where she worked for most of her career. Her commitment to education and the well-being of children was evident in her tireless efforts and genuine love for her work. She inspired many with her passion and dedication, leaving a legacy of caring that will be remembered by all who had the privilege to work alongside her.

Outside of her career, Jill was a vibrant soul who embraced life fully. She had a profound love for reading, often losing herself in the pages of a good book. Jill enjoyed challenging her mind with puzzles. Travel was another passion, as she cherished the opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories. She firmly believed that every day was a fun day, an attitude that radiated from her and inspired those around her to find joy in the simple moments.

Jill's spirit will live on in the hearts of her surviving family members, including her siblings and their families, and her many friends who will continue to honor her memory by living life to the fullest, just as she did. Her laughter, kindness, and loving nature will be forever missed and fondly remembered.

Rest in peace, Mama. Your light will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those you touched and we will be meeting up with you, and the rest of the family, when it is time. Keep your eyes on us, We love you!

Jill…you were always a positive soul and your smile was contagious. You always assisted me with all the questions I had about my invoices. You were at our meetings and events and you brought your joyful spirit each time. You were always the first person I saw when I stepped into accounting and the last when I left. You made a positive impact to me and many others with all the workload you had, you never complained but continued to smile. You will be missed dearly. You are now resting in His arms and that gives us peace. My prayers and thoughts to your family during this difficult time.❤️🙏🏾
