Gone too soon. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Wayne Akard, Resident of Princeton, Texas for the past 34 years. 
He was known for so many things; his strong will, his self-driven ambition to succeed and achieve the goals he set for himself, that in which benefit his family. His resilience to overcome the challenges he endured after a leg amputation. Which leads to his stubbornness. We witnessed in awe and astonishment the tasks he performed and accomplished after being bound to a wheelchair in 2021. He had a deep passionate love for animals, he had 2 dogs Bubba and Max that he endearingly referred to them as "the babies" they meant everything to him.
 
 John was highly intelligent and a gifted Man of many talents including the ability and skills to repair cars, small motors, install, fix, build and engineer purposeful tools for minimal everyday items. 
He was a hard loyal worker. He held a long-standing career as General Manager at Papercon Corp, where he was a respected leader. He was acknowledged and recognized for his achievements and where he made lifelong friendships.  
 
John was predeceased By Mother Clara E. Jaco Buskirk, Sisters Peggy Jaco, Patricia Bolden, wife Jane "Janie" Akard, daughter Cara Akard and Son Irving Wayne Akard. 
 
He is survived by daughters Lisa Block, Lena Michaels and four grandchildren Matthew Green, Shara and Husband Colton Nolen, Shay Nadine Brown, and Cohen Akard, he has 3 great grandchildren and one great Great grandchild. And sisters Betty Myers and Shirley Sandlin. 
 
Service is private at this time. A celebration of life video of photos and stories will come at a later time and sent to whomever would like to have it.
