Robert Hewitt, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 15 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue, and his devoted daughter, Jennifer.
Robert was preceded in death by his son, whom he now joins in eternal rest.
Robert was a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where his faith guided his life and inspired those around him. A man of service, Robert served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, embodying dedication, strength, and courage.
Robert’s career spanned 50 years in the graphic arts profession. He worked for Eastman Kodak, Fuji Films, Agfa Gaefert, and high level graphic arts firms. His exceptional skills allowed him to create tools and specialized cameras to improve his profession.
He excelled in his favorite hobbies, sailing, RC airplane building and flying, and black powder shooting and rifle building with the Dallas Muzzle Loading Club.
Robert was a consumate student. Always excited to learn new things. He found joy in the simple wonders of life, especially the great outdoors, where he spent countless hours appreciating nature's beauty. A talented photographer, Robert had a unique ability to capture moments and landscapes that spoke to the soul. He also held a lifelong affection for root beer, often saying it was the secret to his longevity. A true people person, Robert never met a stranger. He loved sharing his incredible life stories with anyone willing to listen, leaving friends, family, and
acquaintances enriched by his warmth, humor, and wisdom.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, December 21st,at
11:00am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 6819 S Farm to Market 549, Heath, TX.
Robert's vibrant spirit and kindness will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace and reunited with his son in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
