Pat married her high school sweetheart, Ed, in 1953 and remained a devoted wife for 56 years prior to his passing in 2009. She was a loving mother to her two children, Mike and Sherry.

She worked in the medical field throughout her life and continued to do so as a volunteer after retiring. Pat enjoyed spending many of her years with her husband and family on Lake Texoma and Lake Whitney. She had a great love for dachshunds, and cared for several throughout her lifetime, including her latest pup, Molly. She could often be found playing a slot machine at a casino. Pat had an infectious smile and laugh that would light up any room. Pat cherished her Catholic upbringing and was a devout and faithful follower of the faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Braun, husband, Edward “Ed” Wood, son, Michael “Mike” Wood, brother, John Braun, Jr., and sister, Sandra Huseth.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Schindler of Flower Mound, sister, Kathy Morris of St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren: Tommy Clark of Grand Saline, Russell Wood of Garland, Angie Holmes of Flower Mound, and Michelle Wood of Winnetka, CA; great-grandchildren: Nick Tanner, Brett Clark, Delanee Clark-Pennington, Michael Wood, Natalie Wood, Payton Holmes, Jackson Holmes, Harper Holmes; great-great grandchildren: Rowelee Clark and Cadlee Clark; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members.
