Barbara Ann Metroulas, born on December 25, 1938, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. She lived a rich and full life, deeply touching the hearts of all who knew her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Elsie and Paul Sperry, and her devoted husband, Tom Metroulas. She is survived by her sister, Sue Fischer, and her brother, Sonny Sperry. Barbara leaves behind her two loving daughters, Kelly Littleton and Terry Macias, her supportive son-in-law, Richard Macias, and her four treasured grandchildren, A.J. and Kevin Littleton, and Melissa and Melanie Macias.
Barbara's professional journey was a testament to her versatility and unwavering dedication. She began her career excelling in both the service and sales industries, where her natural talent for connecting with people shone brightly. Alongside her husband Tom, she sought new challenges and transitioned into entrepreneurship, successfully managing their family-operated business, LifeData Medical Services. Later, she expanded her expertise by overseeing their various rental properties, showcasing her exceptional organizational skills and business acumen.
Barbara's zest for life was evident in her love for shopping, gambling, and traveling; she embraced every adventure with enthusiasm and a radiant smile. Her carefree spirit and infectious laugh were well-known and brought joy to everyone she met. Her generosity and compassion were hallmarks of her character. Barbara consistently supported causes that were close to her heart, including those related to her Native American heritage and her love of animals. Her family was her greatest passion, and she was unwavering in her devotion to her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. Beyond her family, Barbara enjoyed reading, the arts, and participating in civic duties, such as working the election polls.
In lieu of a traditional memorial service, a celebration of Barbara’s life will be held in Las Vegas, a city that held special significance for her. She and her late husband, Tom, shared many joyful trips to Las Vegas, reveling in the excitement and thrill of the city.
