Carl Eugene Finto II, 60, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of May 23, 2024 in Carrollton, TX.
Carl was born December 21, 1963, in San Antonio, Texas to Carl and Mary Inez (Pardue) Finto. Carl is
survived by aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. At the time of his passing Carl was a resident of Carrollton,
TX.
Carl graduated from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and
a minor in Military Studies. Carl graduated as a Distinguished Honor Military Graduate and went on to serve in
the US Army on Active Duty at Fort Bragg, then Army Guard, and lastly in Army Reserve. Carl truly believed
in the military and earned the Army Achievement medal and the Army Commendation medal during his
service. His love of the Airborne units gave him impetus to become a parachutist in the military.
After active duty service, Carl became a Certified Safety Professional/Safety Manager and Emergency Medical
Technician. Working with construction companies, Carl worked in many US and overseas locations where he
put those skills to use. Carl maintained his professional status for over 35 years. Some of the amazing locations
Carl worked at included Jamaica, Russia, Iran, and Iraq as a contractor during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
On December 5, 1992 Carl married his high school sweetheart Robin in a military wedding at Ft. Sam Houston
in San Antonio, TX. They were married until her passing May 7, 2021.
Carl had an interest in true crime stories and law. This interest led him to attend the League City Citizen’s
Police Academy while living there. After graduation, Carl as well as Robin volunteered with the LCPD
Volunteers in Policing program. They both attained the level of Advanced Volunteer. Carl also taught
weapons safety and shooting – teaching many people over the years to shoot and be a safer citizen.
Throughout his life, Carl became known for truly caring for others as a servant leader; his sense of humor that
put others at ease; and his pure hearted generosity with those who asked.
Carl always had a “yen” for traveling seeking out new experiences in every place he would go. Throughout his
life, he went on twelve Caribbean cruises traveling to 20 different countries. Non-cruise related travel included
Japan, Jamaica, and Ireland. Carl was an animal lover and would always make time to care of animals he and
Robin raised together.
Carl is survived by many dear friends. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, devoted parents, and three cats
named Furball, Spot, and Peanut.
Per his request, no service is being held. His life will be celebrated by all who knew him.

Cousin Huachuca City , Arizona
I'm going to miss you, Cousin. We weren't as close as I liked, but I love nonetheless. I'll treasure the good memories we had together, and I hope to meet you, your parents, and so many others that have sojourned off this mortal coil, upon that Heavenly Shore. Until then, rest in peace, and may God hold you in the palms of His hands.
