Ann Roberta Morrill Rector
Ann was born in New York, NY, June 25, 1929 and adopted by Meyer and Lillian Morrill in 1930. She grew up in Worcester, MA, and Manhattan, NY. DNA testing a few years ago led to discovery of a multitude of relatives, including her biological mother’s family.
Ann was the loving wife of Robert H Rector for 40 years until his death in 2012. She is survived by her children, Sandy (Lyle) Swirsky, Kim (Kenny) Skillman, Susan (Harman) Helfer-Lovitch, Richard (Dawn) Rector, Evan (Lori) Meyers, and Jackie Meyers; grandchildren; Rachel (Mike) Swirsky, Lisa (Aaron) Watson, Elana (Charlie) Snyder, Ella and Eric Rector, and Jove Meyers; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A great friend to Mary, Fran, Marge, Jean, Sandy, and Mary Ann.
Ann was a force to be reconned with. Before moving to Texas in 1984, she lived in Roosevelt, NJ, where she served on the school board and was instrumental in the borough’s 4th of July celebrations.
Ann worked as a sales rep to the military, representing dozens of manufacturers over the years. She was a Max Factor makeup artist in the 1970’s. She taught ballroom dance at the Arthur Murray dance studio in NYC. She worked for television and radio host Arthur Godfrey.
A great lover of dogs, Ann leaves behind her “babies” Tillie and Max-Fergus, the last in a long line of pets.
Ann touched many lives in her nearly 95 years and will be sorely missed. From hosting the morning coffee klatch every day, the meeting of the 5 O’Clock Club every evening to French Toast Sundays every week and birthday parties every month; she’s left a hole which will be hard to fill.

Ann was a very dear friend. We worked with each other for many years in the military market and she became very special to me. She is very missed! My heartfelt condolences to her family and dear friends.
