Janet Lyn Nelson, Age:60

Janet Lyn Nelson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janet Lyn Nelson, who left us early Sunday (6/23/2024) morning , surrounded by her loving family.
Janet was a true fighter, bravely battling breast cancer for the last ten years. She is now at peace, free from pain and suffering. We are comforted knowing she is in a better place, where she can fly free.
Janet was the strongest and most selfless woman in the world. Everyone who knew her loved her dearly. She was a people pleaser and cared deeply about those around her. Her love for animals was evident throughout her life, having many dogs as beloved companions. Her dogs, Jordan and Roscoe, were by her bedside in her final days.
Janet cherished her time with her family and was affectionately known as "Nellie" by her grandchildren. She is survived by her devoted husband, John Nelson Jr; her children, Tyler Nelson (married to Meagan) and Matthew Nelson (married to Kasie); and her grandchildren, Stiles and Grace Nelson. Janet is also survived by her parents, Bobby and Margaret Stiles; her brother, Michael Stiles (married to Melynda) and their daughter, Mikayla Stiles; and her uncle, David Graves (married to Barbara). She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Oneida and Raymond Graves, and Marie and Burch Stiles. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a wonderful group of dear and loyal friends.
We are profoundly grateful for the prayers and support you provided throughout Janet's battle with cancer.
A celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Faith Presbyterian Hospice Center. Please see the link below and scroll down to donate.
