Frances Bounds, age 97, completed her full life on June 3, 2024, with her husband Billy at her side. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Marion and Velma McCoy Young, and her brothers Jessie Lee Young (Lucille) and Carl Young (Charlene).

Frances is survived by her husband Billy Frank Bounds, children Scott Bounds (Ellen) and Debbie Noonan (David), four grandchildren Seth Bounds (Jenni), Jesse Bounds (Gloria), Meredith Noonan and Rachel Noonan, and five great grandsons Carsten, William, Benjamin, Andrew and Lyndon.

Frances was born in Corsicana, Texas on September 3, 1926, and was raised in a farming family in Emhouse, Texas. In her high school class of twenty-one, she was voted most popular, and she remained close to her classmates even in retirement. While on a double date at the 1946 State Fair, she met her future husband, and marriage soon followed. Frances and Billy celebrated their 77th wedding anniversary earlier this year.

Following their marriage in Dallas, the family made homes in Odessa, Abilene and Garland. They were active in their church and are members of the Big Springs Baptist Church. They enjoyed frequent travels around the country with family and friends.

Frances was a devoted mother, never at a loss for words, and always the life of the party. The interment of her ashes will be in the Wortham, Texas Cemetery.
