Marshadawn (Marsha) Grant Spencer (age 91), a Dallas/Fort Worth, TX resident since 1958, passed away January 12, 2024 at Vitas Healthcare Hospice in Carrollton, TX.

Marsha Spencer was born September 6, 1932 in Farmington, Maine, the first-born of Plummer Neal Grant and Grace Marshall Grant.  When she was 10 years old, her family moved to Portland, Maine, where she spent her teenage years and graduated from Deering High School.  In 1954 she graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois, and spent several years working in Chicago and Indiana, until she and her husband, James L. Spencer (Jim) moved to Fort Worth in 1958.

She retired in 1997 as an Editorial Assistant after a 25-year career with the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.  After their retirement, she and her husband enjoyed taking cruises and traveling extensively throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.  They also spent a considerable amount of time during their later years in Mesa, AZ.

Marsha is survived by her son, David Spencer of Dallas, TX, and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
