Peter Kevin Evans, Age:60

Peter Kevin Evans, 60, of Branch TX, passed away on February 24, 2024, with his loving wife Stacy by his side.

Pete was born on January 19, 1964, to Jack and Peggy Evans in McKinney, TX. Pete was a 1982 graduate of McKinney High School and a lifelong resident of Collin County.

Pete loved the simple life and was happiest piddling in his shop at SHUGGAH Branch Ranch. He had a passion for cars, motors, and yard work. He had a skill for carpentry and was proud to have learned that from his grandfather. If you knew Pete, you enjoyed hearing his “Big Tex”, deep southern drawl. Pete loved every genre of music, the TV on 24/7 and Bob Ross. He knew no stranger, never forgot a name, and was loved by many friends for a lifetime.

Pete and Stacy were blessed to have celebrated their 10-year Wedding Anniversary last November. They loved working around their home on projects and mowed together on dueling mowers. Pete and Stacy enjoyed camping and loved Red River, NM, and Lake Murray in OK. They had just purchased their dream AirStream and looked forward to years of memories being made traveling. SHUGGAH Branch Ranch was the place to be where Pete and Stacy entertained often on their back porch. Pete loved being at home with his family and friends, if you stayed too long, he would remind you “This ain’t no AIRBNB”. That’s how welcome you felt with Pete. Pete never missed his three kisses for his SHUGGAH (Stacy).

Pete was preceded in death by his father Jack Evans and brother David Evans. He is survived by wife, Stacy Evans, daughter Hope Evans, Stepson Ben Vargas and wife Jennifer, grandsons Kolby Doxey and Benny Vargas, Mother Peggy Evans, and sisters, Susan Blakey and husband Bob, Beth Yap and husband Tony and loving nieces and nephews.

A come and go celebration of life will be held at Market Affair 101b Candy Street, Farmersville, TX 75442 on March 2, 2024, 10:30-12:30.
