Carlos Lopez Rodriguez was born on September 17, 1943, in Mexico City D.F. and passed away on January 16, 2024. In 1976 he left Mexico and moved to the United States after completing his medical studies to pursue his passion. There he continued using his medical skills and started a family.
Carlos is survived by son Clifford Lopez, daughter Michelle Peterson (Ben), grandsons Carter & Corey Peterson, siblings Tonio Lopez (Lidia), Lupita Lopez, Esther Lopez (Miguel), Olga Lopez de Nino, Pepe Lopez, Angelica Garduno Rodriguez (Federico Merino), and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members. He is preceded in death by parents Carlos Lopez and Carolina Rodriguez Lopez and brother Pepe Garduno Rodriguez.
Carlos never met a stranger. No matter where he was, he wanted to meet new people and put a smile on their face. He would do this by sharing a silly “dad joke”, doing a magic trick or learning a phrase in that person’s native language; he always found a way of connecting with people and making them feel at ease. He loved to sketch and would create drawings on napkins, scrap paper, whatever was close by. He was undeniably devoted in his faith to Jehovah and made it his life’s mission to share his witness with others. Whether it was at a McDonald’s restaurant, performing a medical exam or just a person he met in passing, he was always ready to share his faith. He left a mark on this world with his smile, his faith, and his caring for others.
