She was one of six children born in Cotton Plant, Arkansas. Her fondest memories were of her life on the farm with her father and little brother, Jake. When she was 18 years old, she married a paratrooper, Pete Lane (deceased). They had five children: Deborah, John (deceased), Darlene, Gloria, and Linda (deceased). The family grew to include 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and 1 on the way. Throughout the saddest and joys of life she considered herself to be blessed by the Lord God Almighty, Jehovah. Remembered and loved by her family.
