Coby Weldon Motsenbocker, Age:40

Coby Weldon Motsenbocker, age: 40 of Royce City, TX, peacefully passed away on Thursday November 16, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. 
 
Coby was born on January 7, 1983, to Sammy Motsenbocker and Chryl Walton in the bustling town of Childress, TX.  
 
Coby graduated from Hirschi High School in 2001 and went on to join the United States Air Force Reserves.  Coby served his country proudly and deployed to Iraq July 11, 2005.  We honor him today as a veteran of the United States Armed Forces.  Coby also attended Texas State and graduated with his bachelor's degree.  Coby found a successful career working in the insurance industry. 
 
Coby's pride and joy were his two beautiful dogs, Coz and Nala.  Coby is survived by his mother, Chryl Walton and husband, Jeff Walton, his father, Sammy Motsenbocker and wife, Beth Ahring Motsenbocker, and his sister, Chanda Crane and husband, Greg Crane.  Coby is also survived by his grandmother, Helen Weldon, and grandparents, Albert and Joan Motsenbocker, along with his extended family of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  Coby is preceded in death by his grandfather, Wyman Weldon and great grandparents, Sammie and Lucille Motsenbocker.
 
Coby was an amazing older brother and best friend to his sister Chanda Crane.  Coby also spoiled his nephew, Tristan Crane, who he thought hung the moon.  Coby was loved by many, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all of those who loved him.  
 
Coby's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Event Center, 3111 Midwestern Pkwy, at 2:00pm.  Doors will open at 1:00pm.
