Karen Springer, Age:70

Karen Leigh Springer passed away on December 23rd2022, at the age of 70 following a brief battle with pneumonia.

Karen was born on January 25th1952, in Phoenix Arizona to James and Martha Turner. Following her graduation from high school in Chandler, Arizona Karen briefly attended college at Lubbock Christian University where she met the love of her life Clifford Charles Springer. Karen moved with her husband Cliff to the city of Corpus Christi Texas in 1972.

Survivors include Karen’s sons Keith and Colby Springer of Corpus Christi Texas and daughter Kimberly (John) Lambert of McKinney, Texas. Brothers Johnny (Wanda) Turner and David (Patty) Turner of Chandler Arizona; and grandchildren Joseph and Juliana of Burleson, Texas. 

Karen was a devout lifelong Christian and member of the church where she spent most of her life selflessly performing unpaid volunteer work in the service of others. In her younger years Karen greatly enjoyed spending time outdoors with her husband and children on camping trips or swimming and catching rays on the South Texas beaches. Karen also spent over fifteen years volunteering in service of the Christus Children’s hospital in Corpus Christi, TX. Outside of the many hours Karen spent in her volunteer duties she was also a pianist who taught family members, friends, and acquaintances how to play the piano. Karen was likewise skilled with a sewing machine and enjoyed knitting. Karen will be greatly missed by her children and her two adoring cats Monty and Lenny who still sleep each night on her bed waiting for momma to come home.
