Ronald Noel, Age:74

Ronald Leo Noel passed away peacefully from Alzheimer's on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Grand Brook Memory Care in Allen, TX, where he resided for the past six years. He was surrounded by his family.

 

Ron was born in Peoria, IL on April 26,1948. Ron was preceded by his parents Milburn and Bernadine Noel, Grandma Liz, Grandpa Noel, Grandma and Grandpa DuBois, and two sisters Nell Hopper and Galeen Driscoll, and son Robert Paul. He is survived by his wife Martha Noel whom he married August 1, 1970, his son Scott Noel, residing in San Antonio, with grandkids Emily, Caitlin, and Drew, daughter Shannon Bosgraaf and her husband JJ Bosgraaf, residing in Breckenridge, CO, with grandkids Case, Dirk, and Reece, daughter Maegan Bowman and her husband Damon Bowman, residing in Allen, with grandkids Ethan and Grace, and son Michael Noel, residing in Dallas.

 

Ron was a Metamora Redbird and attended Bradley University, graduating with a master’s in engineering. Beginning at the age of 22, he worked at Caterpillar Inc., then DARR Equipment, and finally Holt Cat where he retired at 63 as one of their top salespeople. Ron was an avid Cowboys, Mavericks, and Longhorn fan, and a fan of any sports team where his kids and grandkids played. He loved travel and being with his family. Those special moments and fun times will be missed, but they’ve created lasting memories for all to remember him fondly.

 

Ron was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic church. Memorial contributions may be made to your local St. Vincent De Paul Outreach society. The Celebration of Life Mass will be Friday, March 31st at 11:30a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic church, 9643 Ferndale Rd, Dallas, TX 75238 with Reverend Father Joseph Vollmer-Konig officiating. Burial will be in Canton, Illinois, Summer 2023.
