On Monday, February 21, 2022, James Wayne Williams, commonly known as Jim (or Wayne to most in his early life), passed away at age 82 in Frisco, Texas due to complications from pneumonia. Jim was born in Dallas, Texas to Vera Thompson and John Doyle Williams.  He graduated from North Dallas High School and enlisted in the United States Navy where he served from 1958 - 1962.  Jim completed his bachelor of arts degree from The University of LaVerne in California and later his MBA from the University of Dallas. He worked for Texas Instruments for over 30 years helping oversee the building of military defense devices and related technical writing. 

Jim is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Williams.  He is survived by his youngest brother, Michael Williams, of Houston, Texas.   Jim is also survived by his former spouse, Naree Williams and their daughters, Brittani (Paul) Elfstrom, and Lisa (Sven) Myrberg; and grandchildren Kyle, Kaden, Cole, and Kimberly Elfstrom, and Ellianna and Magnus Myrberg.  Jim enjoyed exercising, watching television, and staying in touch with his lifelong friends the “James Gang.”  There will be a memorial ceremony at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on April 18, 2022, at 10:30am.
