David Stamey, Age:77
David Stamey
David Lyle Stamey, age 77, went home to be with our Lord on December 24.
David was born and raised in Norton, Kansas. In 1964, he married Mary Heaton. They were married 57 years and had three sons. David graduated from Fort Hays Kansas State University. He worked in retail management for Woolworth, Woolco and Cloth Word where he also worked as an internal company auditor. He worked for Peachtree Fabrics as a salesman until his retirement on disability. David loved motorcycles and owned and rode many sport bikes. He also had a passion for cars, especially high performance, fast cars.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jason, his mother and father, Lyle and Wilma Stamey, and two sisters, Karen Ambrose and Sharon Buster.
David is survived by his wife, Mary, two sons, Kevin and wife Debi, Travis and wife Fran, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Plans for a family gathering and open house are to be announced.
Donations to your favorite charity in his memory would be welcomed.
