Bessie Winston Jackson was born on April 21, 1927 in Palestine, Texas. She is the daughter of Plez and Delia Garrett.  Bessie received her education at Palestine Public school. She accepted Christ into her life at an early age and was a member of Green Bay A.M.E. Church.  She was also member of the Order of Eastern Star Nazarene Chapter #113.

She is preceded in death by her parents Plez Winston Sr. and Delia Garrett, siblings, Plex, Lonnie, Georgia, C Dell, Luther Winston and grandchildren Eric Wilson and Carla Wilson.

Those whom Bessie leaves with cherished memories are daughter Miss Janet Wilson Hearne, son Billie Miller, grandson Christopher Wilson, nieces and nephews, great grand-children, and a host of other relatives and friends.
