Wise, Kathleen Ann. 1935-2021. Ann passed away peacefully on January 16, 2021 in McKinney TX at the age of 85yrs. A funeral service will be open to friends and family on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 12pm, at *St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen Texas. Mass will also be **live streamed for at-home viewing. Her death represents an enormous victory over a severe stroke which left her greatly paralyzed for over 14 years. Ann never gave up, tirelessly persevering the many obstacles that came her way, always with a positive attitude. Born in Henrietta Oklahoma, Ann met the love of her life, Benjamin McGrady, and their journey of 56 years together began. They were married and relocated to Pasadena Texas, beginning their family which lovingly grew to include five children. In 1967 they moved to Aurora Illinois and Ann held jobs as a babysitter, catering truck operator, school bus driver and US postal employee. In 1981 Ann and family moved to Tulsa Oklahoma to be near aging parents. She held several retail jobs, eventually retiring from Walmart. Following the passing of Ann’s beloved husband, she moved to Allen Texas in 2013 to be near her children and grandchildren. Ann was a devout Catholic who was a great inspiration to all who knew her. Besides her great love for family, Ann’s passions included watching television shows about animals, working outside in the yard and going to the casino. Ann is preceded in death by husband Benjamin McGrady Wise; parents, Helen McMahon- and Mac Bernard Thornburgh; brother Patrick Thornburgh. Left to cherish her memory: four sons Wesley (Sue) of Glen Ellyn IL, Mark of Frisco TX, Daniel of Allen TX, Benjamin “Mike” (Saira) of Dallas TX, and daughter Rebecca (Robert) Wise-Phifer of Allen TX; as well as her grandchildren Matt-, Phillip-, Andrew-, Kristen Wise, Laura Dibachi, Brittney-, Briana Phifer; and great grandson Kaine Kirkendall. *St. Jude Catholic Church 1515 N Greenville Ave Allen, TX 75002 **Live Stream Link: https://www.facebook.com/stjudesacraments ***Burial of ashes will take place at a later date
