Leta was born on November 16, 1946 in Wichita, Texas to parents Fletcher Laverne Malone & Ruth Eliza Messer

She was raised & spent most of her life in Dallas, TX, where she attended High School at Bryan Adams.

Worked several years for NTTA. She enjoyed working in the toll booth until she became disabled & retired on August 31, 2007.

Almost all the last 25 years of her life were spent with husband, Gary James Heathcock, until his death in 2018.
