On August 21, 2020, Debra JoAnn Airth, loving wife, mother of four children, and Gigi of six, passed away unexpectedly in Dallas, Texas at the age of 66.
Debi was born on March 19, 1954 in Buffalo, NY to Carl Traina and Teddy Lou (Hendricks) Traina. On February 2, 1980, Debi married her lifelong sweetheart Richard Alexander Airth.
Debi embraced her family and friends and found great joy in her relationships with those closest to her. Debi loved Jesus with all her heart and dedicated her life to him. Her faith was solid, her love eternal. Perhaps Debi’s greatest joy was her love and adoration for her grandchildren. She loved being “Gigi” not only to her own grandchildren but also to her friend’s kids and neighbors. She enjoyed any opportunity to be social, had a contagious laugh, binged on the Lifetime Movie Channel, was a loyal friend, and enjoyed a good cannoli. She was proud of her Sicilian and Buffalo heritages and embraced their traditions.
Debi was preceded in death by her father and mother, her sister, Stayce Traina, her twin sons, Richard & Alex, and her grandson, Lincoln Womeldorph. She is survived by her husband Richard, her daughter, Carlina (Terrana) Womeldorph, her son, Richard Airth Jr., sisters (Teddy Carl Traina, Jacqueline Mayer, Kimberly Premo, and Jennifer Traina), brothers (Mark Trainer, Carl Traina, and David Traina), her Aunt Lucy Crapsi and Uncle Nick Santini, many cousins, and her 5 surviving grandchildren, Gracyn, Addison, Hendrix, Bella, & Maxwell Womeldorph.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date TBD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Lincoln J. Womeldorph Foundation c/o Carlina Womeldorph (carlinatx@gmail.com). Cards may be sent to Richard Airth 3110 W. Glenwood Dr. Wylie, TX 75098.
