Cecil Clyde Bowen, 83 of Lillian,died of Lung cancer on Sept. 1,2020. Dad was born in Fort worth,Texas May 2,1937 to John Felix Bowen and Bessie Alice McGraw. Dad lived most of his young life in the Forrest Hill and Poly area. He was the youngest of 6 who have all proceeded him. Dad supported his family as a road worker for his brother in law, later starting his own asphalt company CC Bowen Asphalt Paving. He also owned a very successful Century 21 real estate company with his wife JoAnne. Later in life he had a flea market in Cleburne. Dad was proceeded by his parents, wife JoAnne Stubblefield Bowen in 2003,sons Gary Lynn Bowen 2013 and George Thomas Rowney 2014. Dad will be missed dearly and remembered fondly by children Pam Bowen and Jack of Lockhart,Cecil,Jr and Codie of Smithville, Jeff and Jennifer Rowney of Pennsylvania, and his loving daughter and caretakers Cecilia Johnson and Robert of Lillian. Dad has 5 generations of children who will fondly remember his tall tales of hunting indians and traveling with Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone and his unlimited advise and support for success. 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 10 g-great grandchildren and 9 nephews and nieces. We will have a celebration of life at a later date due to Covid19 he will always be remembered.
