Susan was born in Miami, Florida on January 9th, 1954 to Randel and Jean Fridge. She was raised in Houston (a 1972 graduate of Sharpstown High School) and had lived in the Dallas area for the past 34 years. After 2 previous victories over cancer, she succumbed to the disease on April 8th, after a short, but courageous 3rd battle. Her final days found her surrounded by her family and loved ones. Susan’s greatest joy was her 2 children, David (39) and Katie (34). She loved traveling, country dancing, bowling, Elvis and The Beach Boys. Susan enjoyed watching General Hospital and Game of Thrones. Two of her most favorite things were taking long naps and going to the casino! She loved animals and her home always included at least 1 cat/dog. A favorite meal might include shrimp and cheesecake. Her life-long career was that of a bill collector, mostly working in the area of automobile collections.

The words from one of her favorite songs, brings comfort- Someday, I’ll wish upon a star -Wake up where the clouds are far behind me-Where trouble melts like lemon drops -High above the chimney top -That's where you'll find me. Susan will be painfully missed but her loved ones find comfort in knowing she is at peace in her eternal home of Heaven, where the clouds are far behind her.

Susan is survived by her 2 children: David and Katie Nickl, 2 sisters: Diane Conant and Debbie Metting, 1 brother: Benjamin Fridge, 2 nephews: Neal and Travis Conant, 2 nieces: Shannon and Miranda Hanks and numerous great nieces/nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents: Randel and Jean Fridge.
