Willis Alvin Shirley, III, Age:59
On Tuesday, March 19, 2019, Willis (Bill) Alvin Shirley III, loving husband, father of 2 children, and Grumpy to 4 grandchildren went to be with the Lord at the age of 59.Bill was born on March 12, 1960 in Philadelphia, PA to Willis and Inez Shirley. On June 9th 1979, he married Dawn Renee Shirley, his absolute “Love of a Lifetime”. In Dec 1979, he joined the United States Army and served his country honorably. Bill and Dawn raised two children together, Amber and Willis in Garland, Texas. Bill was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and compassionate spirit. He was an avid bowler (Loved his Splits “Framily Renees”), tattoo collector and Freebird singer. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Willis A. Shirley Jr. and his mother, Inez Jean Shirley. He is survived by his wife Dawn Shirley, their two children Amber Shirley-Barlow, Willis A Shirley IV, daughter-in-law, Jessica Shirley, grandchildren Aiden and Alyssa Barlow, Madison and Bailey Shirley, his sister Bonnie Shirley-Ayers and brother Mark Ingels; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
