Barbara Ann Phillips, age 71, passed away on Wednesday December 19, 2018. She was born in Philadelphia on September 19, 1947 to the late Robert and Dorothy Jamison. Barbara graduated Ridley Township High in 1965. She married George Phillips and relocated to Balch Springs, TX where they lived for 30 years before separating.
Barbara enjoyed a long career at DuPont Flooring Systems in Dallas before retiring and moving back home to the Pennsylvania area. She loved spending time at the beach, restoring old homes, sewing, baking and refinishing furniture. Barbara had a straight to the point, no nonsense approach to life – which she lived to the fullest.
Barbara is survived by her son, Joe Phillips of Quinlan, TX; daughter Sheree’ Wood and husband Nathan of Rowlett, TX; four grandchildren, Meagan, Katelyn, Olshey, and Trent; two sisters, Donna Kurdziel and husband Michael of Maryland and Darlene Devenney and husband Darren of Florida. She is predeceased by her brother, Robert W. Jamison Jr., with whom she shared a very special bond – passing within hours of each other.

sheree you summarized your mom perfectly she was a unique person who lived the life as she wanted. I was so privledged have been her little sister not always realizing this until we lost her to dementia did I miss her so very much. will always keep her close to my heart and will treasure all memories we share. love you so very much and wish that we lived closer as you are a special woman and have a lot of your mom in you that you don't realize.
