Alvin A. Schlueter, Jr. 

Alvin Alfred (“AJ”) Schlueter, Jr., passed away on March 22, 2023. 

Born on December 17, 1934 to Ophelia and Alvin Schlueter, Sr., AJ grew up in the Fredericksburg, TX area. AJ served in the US Air Force, followed by a 37 year career in the Texas Air National Guard in San Antonio, TX. 

A loving husband, stepdad and grandfather to his family, AJ is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Shirley. 

AJ is survived by his six stepchildren, Cathy Funk, Jacque Desterbecq, John Purcell and wife Debbie, Denise Leisten and husband Robert, Pat Purcell and wife Kiki, Colleen Dieringer and husband Andrew, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and sister Florence Dworaczyk. 

AJ so loved Shirley, we are certain he’s rejoicing in their heavenly reunion! Rest in peace AJ. 

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 10:30 am at Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, 421 Custer Rd., Richardson, TX 75080, with a reception immediately following in the Fellowship Hall.
