Sherrill Andrew Setser, Age:90
Jerry Setser of Allen, TX passed away October 11, 2021, at the age of 90. He was born on July 31, 1931, to Herndon Harvey Setser and Mary Beatrice (Andrews) Setser, in Lenoir, NC. He was married to the late Dolores Mary (Ceplecha) Setser. Jerry was an Airforce Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He had a successful 37-year career at American Machine and Foundry Incorporated (AMF). He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved all genres of music, but jazz and big band were his favorites. He was a craftsman who designed and built many items for his home and family. Jerry enjoyed his friendships and loved sharing laughter with family and friends.
He is survived by his sister, Nancy Reed of Cornersville, TN; son, Robby F. Setser and wife, Kathi of Duncanville, TX; daughters, Sherrill Fosha and husband, Allen of Frisco, TX; Laura Nelson and husband, Bill of Richardson, TX; and daughter-in-law, Denise Setser, of Boca Raton, FL; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Dolores Mary (Ceplecha) Setser; his son, Michael W. Setser; grandson, Stephen A. Setser; his parents, Herndon and Mary Setser; sister, Marion Setser; and brothers, Frank Setser, Tommy Setser and Allen Setser.
