Beatrice Lutz, Age:83

Beatrice Philomena Lutz, born December 3, 1937 passed away quietly after years of dementia. She was 83, and during her life lived in San Antonio, Dallas, Sugarland and Austin. She passed away on Saturday, July17, 2021at Mercer Assisted Living in Rowlett.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary DeRudder, and siblings, Henrietta Grothues, Roland DeRudder and Mary Jane Ritter. She is survived by her children Michael Lutz (Lydia Lutz), Mark Lutz, David Lutz (Kathy Lutz) and Lori Ann Lutz Kerrigan (Brendan Kerrigan). She took great pride in her six grandchildren Michael Jacob Lutz Jr. (Alicia), Megan Ann Lutz, Michele Elizabeth Ernst (Trey), Matthew Christopher Lutz, and the twins Madeline Rose Kerrigan and Jacob Edward Kerrigan.

A graduate of Our Lady of the Lake, Beatrice to her dying day remembered her days at Our Lady of the Lake and her Mother. Beatrice was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She cherished her family and led a full life as a Medical Lab Tech. Her love of music, dance, plants, traveling, cooking and reading led her to be a beloved by all.

Beatrice met the love of her life Milton J Lutz Jr at a social dance held at Our Lady of Grace; they were married on August 26, 1961. They started their family on June 2, 1962 with twins Michael and Mark. Other children included David Christopher and Lori Ann. Beatrice followed her husband to Dallas, Texas moving the family in 1964.  They traveled extensively to include Belgium where her father Henry was born.

Funeral Services will be held on October 7, 2021 at 10:30 am with a Rosary and Mass at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 223 E. Summit Ave. 78212.

Interment to be held Friday, October 8, 2021 at 11:00 am at Texas State Veterans in Killeen, Texas.
